Labor of Love

(This is something that I wrote and shared at church today in honor of Labor Day)

We are leaving the old way of working the 9-5 job, 5 days a week with the same industry or company. You might know or be someone who started in one position or field and either chose or was forced to alter one’s career path professionally.

Often our pursuit is motivated by a need to survive, provide, and to live a good life.  What we have been promised is that there are other needs that can motivate us to achieve a greater spiritual fulfillment.  These needs are our Spiritual gifts, and salvation.  When we answer our Call, gifts such as love, peace, joy, heavenly support, prosperity, health and wealth are ours by right as Spirit’s children.

The Spiritual work that we do CAN be related to the Job that we have where we receive a paycheck;  it can be work that we do as a Volunteer or steward; or it can be part of the fabric of our life.

Ephesians 2:8-10

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of Spirit— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are Spirit’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Spirit puts inspiration into our hearts as to what Spirit wants us to bring to our world. Creativity, passion, interests, and curiosity are all related to the Divine spark that was put in our hearts from the moment that we said “Yes!  I will be born and I will leave this Heavenly space and take with me these gifts that Spirit can form  into talents and a good life that will bless others  and Glorify Spirit.  Yes, I will be placed on earth and will confront all obstacles, will seek out others with Bright shining lights to help me to Shine mine.  Yes I will be brave and courageous enough to go against the grain of my predecessors while carrying forth their wisdom.  Yes, I will work for you, Spirit, in little ways and big ways and trust that by me Being me, I am aligning in such a way that the I AM presence moves through me in unseen ways. I say Yes, to Being in the powerful presence of NOW.  I AM NOW and in this Divine moment, my heart creates according to my Will and Spirit’s will. We are partners in Co-Creating Beauty on Earth”.

Matthew 5:16

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This is the True Labor of Love

Working and Being one with Spirit allows us to be conduits for the City of Spirit. Throughout sacred texts, teachings and our meditations, it is promised that the land and world that is in Spirit’s heart can also be found in our hearts.  It is promised (and our hearts will find this true) that our lives are to be fulfilled, healthy, abundant and streaming with the Goodness of Spirit. This means Materially and Physically as well as Heavenly and Spiritually. We are bolstered with Faith that keeping our hearts aligned with Spirit will bring such beauty to ourselves, families, communities and world.  We are to reap the benefits of the natural reaction of a body working along with Spirit.  It has been promised.

Every generation has a struggle that when we work through it, we leave the Earth free of our challenges. We are creating a new landscape for our children and our children’s children.  This work that we are all taking a part in doing is rewarding and an honor. While listening to Spirit’s Call, we evolve according to what we desire for ourselves  as well as what the world is calling for as well. It is brave, courageous and challenging and we are not alone.

We are working with others to mow down the tall grass that separates each person from their divine path and we are going into places seen and unseen to help others to find what we know is there and to ignite the Sparks placed in our hearts because we have been promised.

This is the True Labor of Love

Move forward Now and Be in Faith, not knowing where we are going aside from the Calling that was placed in our hearts from the moment when we said “Yes”.
